John joined Resolution Life in 2019 as the President and Chief Operating Officer. Based in Bermuda, in addition to his Group role, John is responsible for leading the platform business units and the DTO.

From 2012 to 2018, John was the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President for MetLife Inc. He has held various senior positions in the insurance industry, including as a Member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer at ING Groep NV and Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Executive Vice President for Arch Capital Group Ltd, Bermuda. He spent a number of years at Merrill Lynch & Co in the investment banking, financial institutions group.

John is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. John has a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
