Governance

Strong governance is fundamental to all our activities, including how we implement, enhance and monitor sustainability throughout our business.

Company Governance

Resolution Life and its Board of Directors set the tone for our culture of integrity, accountability, and transparency.

  • Company Board: chaired by Clive Cowdery, includes Nippon Life representatives and independent directors, meets quarterly direct on topics including strategy, financial goals, and risk framework.

  • Local boards: independent directors ensure our key regulated insurance subsidiary companies meet local regulatory requirements.

  • Steering Committee: brings together senior executives to provide strategic and operational advice to the RLGH Board and Group officers.

  • Executive Leadership Team: is responsible for delivering the Group’s mission and aligning leadership on key priorities.

  • We have a comprehensive set of policies and procedures to uphold strong governance and embed best practice across Resolution Life.

Responsible Investment

We believe that our duty to our stakeholders is to increase the value of our investments over the long term, while maintaining a responsible approach to ESG, for the overall good of society and the planet.

We are a signatory to the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment since 2022, demonstrating our commitment to responsible investing through building a more sustainable financial system.
